The fundamental purpose of Homey is Cognitive Offloading for Home Management. Managing a home requires remembering thousands of micro-details across many domains: storage locations, expiry dates, stock levels, maintenance schedules, warranties, seasonal items, tools, hobby supplies, and more. Homey exists so the inhabitants don’t have to "remember" anything; they only need to "consult" the app.
