Homey

Manage household locations, inventory, groceries, meals, shopping, routines, tasks, and checklists from one local-first Android app.

Homey is an Android application for reducing the work of remembering and coordinating a household. It starts with a digital model of the home and connects stored items with expiry awareness, meal planning, shopping, and recurring work.

Current functionality

  • Create a starting location hierarchy from a flat or villa template, then edit the locations to match the home.

  • Organise inventory inside nested locations, with optional spatial grids, categorical lists, search, item details, and expiry dates.

  • Add items manually, scan receipt text with the camera, or import supported PDF invoices and review extracted items before saving them.

  • Create recipes, plan meals, and maintain a shopping list that combines generated and manually added entries.

  • Create and complete routines, tasks, and reusable checklists, with a Today view for active work.

  • Review items that are expiring and configure local expiry, shopping, and final-call notifications.

Homey stores household content on the device and does not require an account or display advertising. Some broader ideas described in the product specifications, including cross-device Token Bridge synchronization and mission-based workflows, are design direction rather than current navigation features.
