Feature Spec: Branding & Visual Identity (Doc 11)

Product specification for Homey's personality, organic-grid visual language, color, typography, iconography, and voice.

1. Brand Personality

The Homey brand is defined by three keywords: Approachable, Orderly, and Proactive. It should feel like a "digitally-native family member" who helps keep things running smoothly.

2. Visual Language: "The Organic Grid"

The visual design system bridges the gap between the organic messiness of a household and the precision of a digital twin. * Shapes: Soft, rounded "Squircle" shapes (a mix of a square and a circle) for all buttons and item cards. * Grids: Subtle, thin lines used to reinforce the "2x2" spatial mental model without feeling clinical.

3. Color Strategy (Material You Integration)

Homey follows the Material Design 3 color system. * Core Brand Color: Sage Green (#87A96B). * Dynamic Adaptation: The app will use Android’s "Monet" engine to extract colors from the user’s wallpaper. * Status Colors: Fresh: Green. Aging: Amber. * *Expired: Terracotta/Deep Red.

4. Imagery & Illustration

  • Style: Flat, minimalist vector illustrations with a "hand-drawn" touch.

  • Empty States: Instead of blank screens, use "Homey" illustrations (e.g., a sleepy almarah waiting for groceries) to encourage the "Digitalize Your Home" mission.

5. Sound & Haptics (The "Feel")

Branding isn’t just visual; it’s the "click" of the app. * Success Sound: A soft, high-pitched "chime" when a bill is successfully scanned. * Haptics: A double-pulse vibration when an item is marked as "Used Up," giving the Chef a satisfying feeling of completion.

6. Decision Summary (Exploration Log)
