treeger 1.1 Release Notes

Full file browsing, search, file operations, Trash, content Spaces, and Recents in treeger 1.1.

treeger 1.1 introduces a complete local file manager around the pinned-folder Home experience from 1.0. You can now explore device storage, find and manage files, browse content-focused Spaces, return to recent files, and recover deleted items from Trash.

Highlights

Browse files in four Spaces

treeger now provides four complementary ways to browse:

Explorer

Move through Device Storage folder by folder.

Gallery

Browse images and videos together, grouped by date or source.

Documents

Find document formats from across storage in one place.

Recents

Switch between files you have Used and files recently Added to the device.

  • Choose List or Grid view and sort by name, date, size, or type.

  • treeger remembers view and sorting choices separately for each Space.

  • Gallery, Documents, and Recents grids offer Comfortable and Compact density.

  • Gallery includes image and video thumbnails, swipeable media viewing, source information, and file details.

  • Explorer folder cards can show direct folder and file counts plus total size as treeger’s on-device catalogue is updated.

Find files

  • Search the current Explorer folder, include its subfolders, or search all Device Storage.

  • Narrow results by file type, location, modification date, and size.

  • Documents also provides format filters for PDF, office documents, ebooks, Markdown, AsciiDoc, plain text, and other recognized formats.

  • Search and Filters are available as separate controls, with active filters kept visible in a wrapping filter section.

  • Gallery and Documents can sort and group files by sources such as Camera, Screenshots, Downloads, applications, or folders.

  • Select one Gallery or Documents result and use Show in folder to open its location in Explorer.

Manage files and folders

  • Long-press to select one or more items, then share files or inspect an item’s properties.

  • Create folders and rename files or folders.

  • Copy or move items from one or several locations with a persistent Operation Shelf.

  • Browse to a destination, follow transfer progress, cancel an operation, and resolve naming conflicts explicitly.

  • Recent files support the same rename, copy, move, delete, share, and properties actions.

Delete with a safety net

  • Deleting supported local files and folders moves them to treeger’s Trash instead of removing them immediately.

  • Restore items to their original location, permanently delete selected items, or empty Trash.

  • Choose whether trashed items are kept indefinitely or removed after 7, 30, or 90 days.

  • Search Trash by filename with a simple, case-insensitive search.

Home, Pins, and Recents

  • Home now includes Spaces, Recently Used, Recently Added, Pins, and Device Storage.

  • Recently Used records files opened through treeger and can be cleared without deleting those files.

  • Recently Added surfaces new downloads, camera files, screenshots, exports, and documents found on the device.

  • See all opens the complete Used or Added tab in Recents, where search, filters, List/Grid, sorting, selection, and file actions are available.

  • Common folders are supplied as editable starter pins. A dedicated editing mode lets you reorder or remove pins, and Explorer marks folders that are already pinned.

  • Start an Explorer search directly from Home.

Navigation and visual identity

  • An app navigation drawer provides direct access to Home, Trash, Settings, and About while preserving your place in the browsing flow.

  • Breadcrumbs make folder paths navigable and keep the current folder visible when a path becomes wider than the screen.

  • Common locations such as Downloads, Documents, Camera, Pictures, Movies, Music, Android, and WhatsApp have recognizable folder icons.

  • Canopy and Bloom identities provide coordinated light and dark colors, IBM Plex Sans typography, consistent cards and artwork, and clear selected and active states.
