treeger 1.3 Release Notes
Android 10 storage support, section selection, PDF thumbnails, and consistent media viewer surfaces in treeger 1.3.
treeger 1.3 makes older-device browsing dependable and speeds up grouped file selection. It also adds first-page previews for PDFs and brings the media viewer’s controls into the same visual system as the rest of the app.
Highlights
Browse full storage on Android 10
-
Android 10 devices now use the storage permission flow supported by that platform.
-
After storage access is granted, Explorer and the content Spaces can discover the files and metadata available in shared storage instead of showing an empty view.
-
Newer Android versions retain their existing all-files access flow.
Select a complete section
-
Selection mode adds a section-level control beside each expand or collapse action.
-
Select every item in a date group or another visible section with one tap, in both List and Grid layouts.
-
Sections containing folders and sections containing files use the same behavior.
-
The control uses an empty circle until the whole section is selected and a checkmark when selection is complete, without shifting the section layout.
Preview PDFs while browsing
-
PDF artwork now renders the first page as a fitted thumbnail wherever shared file artwork is used.
-
Successful previews show the page directly without the generic artwork container.
-
Password-protected PDFs show a lock with the PDF label. Corrupt or otherwise unreadable PDFs use a separate error indicator.
-
Thumbnail results are cached in memory during the app session. Opening a PDF still uses the PDF viewer installed on the device.
Google Play "What’s new"
Version 1.3 restores dependable shared-storage browsing on Android 10. Selection mode can now select an entire date or content section in one tap. PDFs gain fitted first-page thumbnails, with clear lock and error artwork for protected or unreadable files. The media viewer also uses treeger’s neutral surfaces for more consistent controls in light and dark themes.
